SOUTH EAST COUNTIES WFL Premier Div - 9th April 2006

Lordswood 4 Haywards Heath 0

Haywards Heath 0 Lordswood 2

Heath travelled to Chatham based Lordswood for this double header and their final away game of a long tiring season. Heath's performances showed their tiredness with 2 double headers and a midweek game in the last 2 months, compounded by unavailability due to work commitments and injuries. However the effort was clearly there with the many 2nd team players taking part showing that they will be knocking on the1st teams door next season . The atmosphere and good naturedness amongst the players was also there for all to see, and a credit to them in what has been a very difficult season.
Both games were competitive on a hard and bumpy pitch but Lordswood had that extra element of skill and this saw them through. Player of the first game was Fran Pritlove. The second game was a much closer affair, and despite the efforts of particularly Jenny Greenfield, player of the match, and playing the last fifteen minutes with only 10 players after Leigh Farley was pole axed by the ball and had to leave the field, Heath went down to a 2-0 defeat.

Teams over the two games: Vicki Lank; Michelle Winnard; Jenny Greenfield; Kim Strong; Penny Gittins; Julie Hawthorne; Emma Burkitt; Rebecca Smallman; Catherine Diffey; Leigh Farley; Jo d'Ambra; Karen Bridgewater; Yoli Rietmann; Fran Pritlove; Lou Creasey.
