SOUTH EAST COUNTIES WFL Premier Div - 23rd April 2006

Haywards Heath 0 Anchorians 3

Heath welcomed Anchorians for the last match of a hard season and made Mel Bramley captain for the day in recognition of her unstinting service to the Club and her decision to "hang up her boots". She showed all the effort, hard work and application that has been associated with her game over the years. However despite this Heath had a very poor half and went in 2-0 down.
In the second half, Heath showed their true colours and spent long periods in their opponents half and despite chances were unable to convert them into goals. Shortly before the final whistle, Anchorians broke away and from a dubious corner decision scored their third. This epitomised Heath's season and despite going out of the Premier Div the attitude in the dressing room from each and every player has always been positive. Heath will now prepare for next season to ensure a swift return to this level. Jenny Greenfield was Heaths "Player of the match"
