Worthing Minors 6 Haywards Heath 2nds 0 - 28th Jan 2007

Heath 2nds found themselves with only 10 players for this game as the Club as a whole was suffering from an unprecedented number of players unavailable due to injury, illness and work commitments . This was another game for the 2nds where the result didn’t reflect the match itself. Joint managers’ player of the match went to Jo Fairbairn, filling in at defence and Julie Boyce who never gave up on the wing. A special mention must go to keeper Celia Huggett who made some outstanding saves in our attempt to keep Worthing’s strikers at bay. All the players played outstandingly during the 1st half and were only one goal behind , pulling together as a real team. Match fitness in the 2nd half and a lack of an 11th player made it difficult for Heath to keep up the pressure leading to 5 goals in the 2nd half.
