Heaths 3rds started brightly against 2nd placed Whitehawk Res playing against the wind and held the Hawks until the last 10 m ins of the half before conceding a goal to a cross cum shot , and falling further behind just before the halftime whistle. Hopes that the wind would now be in their favour were dashed as the wind inexplicably faded and Heath could have reduced the deficit when a Chris Cater lob was only just saved by the keeper, and an Emma Skilton shot hit the post , whilst the Heaths back four of Cater, Jo Stevenson, Debbie Johnson and Hayley Miller soaked up Whitehawks pressure in front of Heaths “Player of the Match” keeper Gemma Paull, normally an outfield player but showing yet again her prowess in goal. Unfortunately Heath conceded a 3rd goal just 2 minutes from the end in yet another encouraging performance .
