Sussex County FA Womens Challenge Trophy
Hailsham 2 Haywards Heath Town 3rds 0 - 20th Nov 2005
It was unfortunate that Heath 3rds were missing regular 3rd team player Emma Skilton, called into the 1st team squad only for that fixture to fall to the weather too late to play for her team !!. In the 1st half Heath had their chances with Natasha Kaye shooting wide and Hayley Plummer & Eve Todhunter seeing their shots saved, whilst the back four of Chris Cater, Hayley Miller, Debbie Johnson and Nicki Cook kept Hailsham at bay for almost 40 mins before they failed to clear a corner, and saw the ball spin off the post to put Hailsham ahead .
In the 2nd half less than 10 minutes passed before Hailsham went further ahead following a defensive error.
In an effort to get back into the game Heath pushed Captain Johnson forward for the last 10 mins and saw her fine shot well diverted past the post by Hailshams’ keeper. This was a far better performance than when the 2 sides last met with Sole once again demonstrating her keeping skills and the youngest player in the League, Heaths Jade Bubb, having a much better game. Hayley Miller was Heaths “Player of the Match” whilst Plummer also impressed up front.
Team Natasha Sole; Christina Cater, Hayley Plummer, Debbie Johnson, Nicki Cook: Debbie West (Tsidi Miza 70 mins) Jade Bubb, Jane Quilley, Eve Todhunter, Hayley Plummer, Natasha Kaye
