Haywards Heath 3rds 0 Seahaven 2 - 26th Feb 2006
Heath played probably their best football this season against a Seahaven side that have been near the top of the table, and deserved a draw. Early Heath pressure lead to Natasha Sole shooting just wide and Hayley Millers rasping drive being well saved at the near post. Seahavens only effort being a free kick which skimmed the crossbar.
Heath continued the second half in the same vein with Chas Wickens hitting the post. In the 83rd minute against the run of play a low shot eluded keeper Nicki Whatford and with Heath pressing hard for an equaliser in the last minute Seahaven broke away to make the score a flattering 2-0 to Seahaven. Lindsay Richardson was Heath “Player of the Match” and on a day of excellent performances the back four of Christina Cater, Debbie Johnson, Richardson and Jade Bubb were outstanding.
