Seahaven 5 Haywards Heath 3rds 1 [Sherry Goodchild – pen]
Heath started brightly in difficult conditions but two defensive lapses were punished by Seahaven who went 2-0 up after 20 minutes. Heath kept pressing forward and a long ball by Christina Cater sent Jo Stevenson clear but her shot was well saved by the keeper. 2-0 was the half-time score and two early second half goals and a disputed penalty meant a 5-0 scoreline that flattered Seahaven. Heaths increasing pressure lead to a Seahaven defender handling the ball in the box and Sherry Goodchild coolly converted the penalty to record her 1st goal for the Club .
Heath kept pressing forward but despite chances were unable to close the deficit. Hayley Miller was voted Heaths POM while both Emma Skilton and Hayley Plummer worked tirelessly in midfield.
