With Heaths Captain Debbie Johnson unavailable due to work commitments, and Hastings fielding a side including several with 1st team experience this was always going to be a tough game for Heath, and so it transpired .
Although Hastings no doubt deserved their victory Heath at times felt as if Hastings had a 12th player in the shape of the Referee whose decisions at times were unbelievable. Heath were 4 nil down at halftime and made all 3 substitutions at half time. This stemmed the flow for quite a while but 3 late goals made the final scoreline flattering for Hastings despite good work by keeper Natasha Sole.
Defender Hayley Miller, Captain for the match in the absence of Johnson was also Heaths “Player of the Match”.
